Vascular Ultrasound 

Vascular Ultrasound is a non-invasive ultrasound method (also called a duplex study) used to examine the blood circulation in the arms and legs. The Vascular Ultrasound tests and procedures available at Palos Community Hospital include:

  • Aorta/ Inferior Vena Cava (IVC)
  • Arterial Evaluation of the Lower Extremity
  • Arterial Evaluation of the Upper Extremity
  • Carotid Doppler Evaluation
  • Hepatic/Portal Vein
  • Mesenteric Artery Evaluation
  • Renal Artery/Vein
  • Venous Doppler - Lower Extremity
  • Venous Doppler - Upper Extremity
