Bruce Dolitsky, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with extensive experience in knee/lower limb and hip/pelvic bone procedures.
As an experienced surgeon, Dr. Dolitsky follows a conservative approach when it comes to bone and joint disorders and injuries. “It is my belief that the best medical care is that which is associated with the least risk,” he explains. “Surgery is often my last recommended option. However, when necessary, I will perform it as soon as possible. I always welcome a second opinion for patients that want one.”
Dr. Dolitsky earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.

I became an orthopedic surgeon because when I was younger I enjoyed sports. And when people were injured I thought it would be great to be able to take care of them and return them back to sports.

caring for patients because I can make a difference often in a short time. Being able to see results in the short time is very satisfying. I believe in conservative treatment. However, my practice includes surgery in many cases.

My most common surgeries are knee and hip replacements, taking care of fractures such as hip fractures, as well as miscellaneous surgery, such as rotator cuff repairs, carpal tunnel releases, and many more.

I treat people the same way I would treat a member of my family. It is my belief that the best medical care is that which is associated with the least risk that will alleviate the problem.
