James Gianfrancisco, MD

Bio

James Gianfrancisco, MD, is board certified in both colon and rectal surgery and general surgery. He has devoted his nearly 40-year career to the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal complaints and cancers.

Dr. Gianfrancisco received his medical degree from Northwestern University and completed his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

“I am privileged to be a practicing surgeon close to the area that I was raised,” says Dr. Gianfrancisco. “I feel honored to have cared for four generations of some families, including many of my classmates from grade school and from John F. Kennedy High School in Chicago. My patients are like family to me.”
