During National Emergency Medical Services Week, Palos Community Hospital is proud to salute all EMTs, paramedics and first responders for their fearless dedication to saving people’s lives.

The theme for this year’s EMS Week is “EMS: One Mission. One Team,” and is being celebrated May 19 to 25.

Palos Community Hospital recognized the brave men and women on the “front lines” in our service area with afternoon cookouts May 21 to 23.

“The Palos Community Hospital area is very fortunate to have such dedicated and hard-working Emergency Medical Services staff operating in our community,” says Sharon Cosgrove, EMS Coordinator for Palos Community Hospital.

EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel and is sponsored nationally by the American College of Emergency Physicians, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Health Resources and Services Administration, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
