Cheryl A. Boss is an experienced board-certified adult nurse practitioner who specializes in the management of diabetes. She works at the Palos Diabetes & Metabolism Center, where she partners with a team of dietitians to help patients with treatment of diabetes and metabolism disorders such as obesity.
Cheryl’s patient care philosophy is rooted in collaboration. “I feel effective health care involves both the patient and family members,” she says. “I actively listen to my patients and identify goals that are important to them. I incorporate this information into a mutual decision making process, whereby I formalize a treatment plan customized to each patient’s unique needs.”

Cheryl received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. She is a certified diabetes educator and takes special interest in helping patients with diabetes, gestational diabetes, pre-diabetes and obesity.
