Dr. Richard Wilson is an occupational health physician. He has practiced medicine in the southwest suburbs of Chicago for more than three decades.
Each appointment with Dr. Wilson begins and ends with time for patients to explain their situation and ask questions. “I listen to my patients and attempt to arrive at as many points of agreement as possible with them when developing a plan of care,” he says. “I advise them about what is possible, what is probable and what needs further evaluation.”
Dr. Wilson also informs each patient about the needs and constraints of their employer when planning care. “I want my patients to think of both work and their general health as equally important,” he says, “‘Fit for duty and fit for life’ is the motto of our Occupational Health Program.”
